APTA member Suzanne "Sue"Skibinski, PT, was featured on WSYR-TV and WSYR.com on February 17 in a story about the high cost of physical therapy copays. As the owner of 3 physical therapy offices in Central New York, Skibinski explains how many of her patients are "being forced to choose between what you can afford and what your doctors prescribe." In the interview, Skibinski says that "the high cost of physical therapy may be pushing people into unnecessary medications and surgery."The story also featured the New York Chapter's online campaign www.FairCoPays-BetterResults.com aimed at keeping down copays.
